The total cost of the customs of the electric vehicles imported in Ukraine in August reached nearly 8.1 billion hryvnias.
In August, 9,274 electric vehicles were imported in Ukraine’s territory, which is more than twice the indicator of the same month last year (4,146 cars). This has been proven by State Customs Service data, published on Tuesday, September 16.
According to customs statistics, 1,997 imported electric vehicles were new, another 7,277 were imported from the second market.
The total cost of electric vehicles imported in Ukraine in August reached nearly 8.1 billion hryvnias, while in August 2024 this indicator was at the level of 3.8 billion hryvnias. When importing these cars last month, the state budget received 31.9 million hryvnias (in August 2024 – 12.6 million hryvnias).
At the same time, the amount of benefits for paying customs payments for de -electric vehicles in August this year costs more than 1.6 billion hryvnias, which is more than half of last year’s level (0.78 billion hryvnias).
