The G6 and G9 models are the first to leave the assembly line, and the new P7 sedan may be the next candidate for the Austria meeting.
Chinese car manufacturer officially launched the local meeting of Europe’s electric vehicles at the Magna Steyr factory in the Austrian Graz City.
“In the third quarter of 2025, XPEng Motors officially launched the first European production project in the Magna Plant in Graz. The first batch of G6 and G9 has left the assembly line. Other models will be released here,” the company said.
XPen has actively expanded its existence in the EU market, where it sells cars in 12 countries. Launching production in the area allows the company to avoid most tariffs introduced by the European Commission against the China -elect -by -the -sea -imported vehicles. For the magna plant, this means new long-term contracts after completing the Jaguar-Pace and Fisker Ocean.
So far, the meeting took place in SKD format – large components from China arrived in Austria, which were collected in the area. This is a stage of the test, however, XPen has already announced the future goal to establish the release of a wider line of European models.
Experts suggest that the next candidate for Austria’s meeting may be the new P7 sedan. XPen considers the localization of production as the key to strengthening positions in the European electric vehicle market.
We reminded, earlier reported that Chinese Byd confirmed the launch of competitor Bentley and Ferrari in Europe.
