The EU court has canceled the court’s decision of the EU’s general jurisdiction and the European Commission on Financial Assistance in Budapest is incorrect.
Austria has accused the right to block Hungary the Financing of NPP Paksh-2, which is built by the Russian state holding Rosatom. This was proven by the EU court decision.
The EU court has canceled the court’s decision of the General General EU and the European Commission’s decision, which is intended to provide Hungary financial assistance to build two new nuclear reactors at the Paksh-2 Nuclear Power Plant. Blocking of European assistance was initiated by Austria.
In 2018, Vienna filed a lawsuit against the European Commission, saying that he did not provide honest competition.
The Austrian side emphasized that the state aid for the Hungarian project of the nuclear power plant violates the principle of equal conditions within the EU.
In 2022, the EU court rejected this lawsuit, explaining that a subsidy of 12.5 billion euros, despite its size, did not affect competitive rules.
Austria has appealed, and the EU court has now ruled that the commission will not avoid itself to prove the subsidy compliance with state aid policies. He also needs to check if there is a legal honor of the contract for the construction of two reactors without open softness.
The NPP Paksh was built in the 20th century according to the Soviet project and had four Vver-440 power units with a total capacity of 2000 MW.
Life ends with power units between 2032 and 2037, so Hungary plans to expand nuclear power plants with two Russian -Made vver reactors. The power of each is 1.2 gigavata.
The completion project was given to Rosatom without a soft back in 2014.
As you know, in 2023, the European Union allowed Rosatom to complete the nuclear power plant in Hungary. In November of the same year, Hungarian authorities agreed with Rosatom in the construction of the Paksh-2 Nuclear Power Plant, which they plan to build at the Russian loan cost. Ukraine then opposed the fact that the nuclear power plant was completed by Russia.
The US allowed the Russian Federation to complete the nuclear power plant in Hungary
