Compared to the new generation of Electric Mercedes, the EQE has no major benefits, so the company has decided to focus on preparing to launch its successor.
Mercedes-Benz plans to prevent the manufacture of EQE Electric models on sedans and crossover bodies in 2026, AutoCar reports. This solution is connected to the revision of the company’s de -electrical car and the companion of the model coverage.
Despite the previous EQE restyling plans in 2025, including the move to 800 V, new EAPS2 inverters and electricians, only the EQS line is modern.
Today, the EQE sedan is made at the factory in Bremen (Germany), and the EQE SUV crossover in Tascalus (USA). Both models will gradually be replaced by the new electric C-class EQ and GLC EQ, which is built on the modern MB.Ea-m platform with an 800-volt architecture. They promise the best capacity, increased practicality and maintain the level of chassis technologies near the current EQE.
Officially, Mercedes-Benz has not yet confirmed the completion of EQE manufacture, but the company is already working with an alternative-an electric version of the E-class EQ. It is planned to be presented in 2027, and it is also based on the MB.EA-M platform.
Keep in mind that it was previously reported that Mercedes failed in electric G-class sales.
Mercedes will deliver more than 30 new models until the end of 2027
