In Ukraine, there are no laws established in law for importing restrictions, and in Ukrenergo they have acted in their own decisions. It negatively affects the price for the consumer, says Andrei Gerus.

In Ukraine, there may be conspiracy in the electricity market. The People’s deputy, the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Public Utility Andrei Gerus, said this.

According to him, today in Ukraine there are no legislative policies for importing restrictions. As a result, the Ukrenergo dispatcher is acting at their own decision, which negatively affects the price for the consumer.

“They do this in a voluntary way, perhaps even conspiracy with some market participants to influence the development of prices … If the shortage is expensive, it is understood. But if the excess is cheap. And now we have a price higher than the previous tag -day, when there was a huge flow,” Gerus said during the committee’s meeting.

His opinion was supported by other people selected by an Andrei Zhupanin. He expressed doubts about the validity of the increase in electricity price, the decision of which NKRECP recently made.

“My opinion is to avoid it, because now there is no shortage. Such decisions are quickly made,” he said.

To clarify the situation, the representative of the people, the first representative of the committee chairman Alexei Kucherenko, introduced the idea of attracting the antimonopoly committee to investigate the situation in the energy market and power of electricity.

“Somehow, with the economic committee or the antimonopoly committee itself, it will also signal that we will hold its investigation under attention. Because I want to know if there are some real investigations, or so, for a checkmark.”

The proposal is supported by the People’s Deputy Maxim Hlapuk deputy, emphasizing the need for an individual AMCU participation assembly: “I really suggest handling a separate meeting focused on the results of your investigation. If the market is honest, then the prisons are not necessary.”

Keep in mind that this week it was learned that the NKRECP decided to increase tariffs for electricity distribution for non -consumers. Typically, tariffs will grow 14% for the first voltage class and by 23% for the second voltage class. For the population, electricity prices remain unchanged.

As you know, at least until October 31, a single fixed electricity price for individual and collective household buyers at level 4.32 UAH/KWH is preserved.
