The Ministers’ cabinet has decided to propose the Odessa port plant about it by Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko on Tuesday, August 26th.

Sviridenko recalled that OPZ is one of the largest complex chemicals in Ukraine. Before the war, he made ammonia and urea, exported fertilizers. However, since 2022, primary production has stopped. The plant worked slightly – provided critical needs with oxygen and nitrogen, which performed port hub operating.
“The company must return the entire job. This is only possible by attracting a private -owned and investment. OPZ sale will supplement the budget, create new jobs and provide Ukrainian farmers with access to domestic fertilizers,” the government chief added.
The basic conditions for the sale of AO Odessa Porter plant shares are:

maintaining major business activities for 5 years;

the implementation of investments in volume of at least 500 million UAH for 5 years;

Paying wages and budgets for 1 year;

Payment for 5 years of excessive payables, other than debt to individual/legal creatures, regarding which penalties are applied in accordance with ZU “to penalties”, and related people, as well as creditors whose beneficiaries are citizens/residents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus;

ensuring social guarantees with business employees;
-
Compliance with the requirements of the environmental law.
