The European Union has sent Ukraine one billion euros of macro-financial aid, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal announced on Monday, August 1.
According to him, the first tranche of 500 million euros has already been credited to the account of the National Bank. We expect the second tranche to arrive tomorrow.
“The 1 billion euros is part of a large support package for Ukraine in overcoming the financial consequences of the war for a total of 9 billion euros.
It will be remembered that last week the European Investment Bank decided to allocate 1.59 billion euros of financial aid to Ukraine.
According to the NBU, as of July 22, since the start of the conflict, Ukraine has received $12.7 billion in Western financial aid.
