Ukrainians are more likely to buy cars with diesel engines. For July 2025, more than 5.5 thousand such machines were registered, which was 13% less than the same month last year, the UkravToMrom report.
Among the new diesel cars, sales fell more – by 26%. In July, 1.2 thousand new cars with a diesel engine was purchased, and their share of the market was reduced from 25.5% to 18.7%. Usually, the Ukrainians chose crossovers, and Renault Duster became unconditional leader in new models.

Volkswagen Touareg – 137 units.
Toyota Land Cruiser Prado – 128 units.
Skoda Kodiaq – 89 units.
Volkswagen Tiguan – 88 units.
The segment of mileage diesel cars is also losing its popularity. For July, 4.3 thousand used diesel cars were registered, which was 8% less than last year. Their share of the market is reduced from 23% to 19.4%, and the average age is 11 years.
