Zaporozhye hospitals provided generators worth 20 million – Metinvest

Two hospitals were provided with a backup power system – Darex Energy diesel generators.

Zaporozhye hospitals received equipment worth UAH 20 million from Metinvest and the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, according to Metinvest’s website.

So, Zaporozhye City Hospital No. 9 and the Zaporizhzhya Emergency and Emergency Hospital received backup power systems that will ensure the uninterrupted operation of medical departments in the event of a blackout in the main power supply network.

Critical departments of hospitals – traumatology, surgery, resuscitation, as well as basic equipment – oxygen stations, angiographs, MRI machines, blood transfusions, etc. is connected to the new backup power system.

In both hospitals, the operation of backup power systems will be provided by two autonomous diesel generators Darex Energy of domestic production with a nominal capacity of 392 kW and 250 kW. These systems will ensure the autonomy and stability of life support equipment in the event of a power outage. The generators are also equipped with an automatic transfer system that allows you to immediately transfer hospital facilities to backup power when the main network is out of power.

“To ensure the stability of this equipment, the company financed the provision of support to the city’s hospitals with a powerful backup power system to ensure the autonomy of the hospitals,” said Alexander Mironenko, Zaporizhstal General Director of the Metinvest Group .

Recall that Metinvest recently purchased 20 ambulances for the scouts. The company also supplies the military with ammunition, hospitals with drugs and equipment, and the population with humanitarian aid.

In total, since the beginning of the year, SCM enterprises, the Shakhtar football club and the Akhmetov Foundation have donated about UAH 3 billion to help Ukrainians.
