The company explained this through a critical fall in the shipment equipment market – in the first half of sales, the volume of sales decreased by almost 60%.
From August 1, the largest manufacturer of Kamaz trucks in Russia has reduced working weeks to four days. The decision will affect units without full load. The Moscow Times reported this Friday, July 25th.
The company explained this through a critical collapse in the cargo equipment equipment with capacity with more than 14 tons – in the first half of the sales, the volume of sales was reduced by almost 60%.
Russia’s automaker has accused foreign suppliers, who, despite demand forecasts, have brought excessive equipment to Russia. The company said more than 30 thousand trucks have accumulated in warehouses, who could not find consumers even at disposal prices. An additional factor is the tough policy of the central bank of the Russian Federation – high rates and limited access to loans and leasing.
Thus, more than 10 thousand nearly new trucks are back in the warehouses of leasing companies and are now sold “significantly lower than” market value.
“The lack of prospects for market growth and the pressure of the remnants of the imported equipment that forces us to make unpopular, but the necessary decisions to reduce production,” said the company, promising to maintain all social guarantees for workers.
The company also said it was talking to corporate customers for additional equipment purchases to ensure production loading.
Earlier, the Gorky Automobile Plant (GAZ) and Avtovaz reported the move to the four -day schedule. The factors are called a crisis in the commercial transport market, a high key and competition from the imported cars. In Avtovaz, it was predicted that in 2025, the car of passenger cars in Russia could be reduced by 25% – up to 1.1 million units.
Remember that in Russia for six months they were able to sell only a Lada electric car.
In Russia, they complained that the Russians had stopped buying Lada
