The occupiers are interfering in the work of Novopskov CS, which could lead to a cessation of transit via GIS Sokhranivka.
Due to the intervention of Russian representatives and the separatists of the “LPR”, a threat of gas transit to Europe has emerged, the GTS Operator reported on Friday, April 8th.
“Novopskov CS is an important facility for arranging gas transportation to consumers in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Almost one-third of transit in Europe from the Sokhranivka gas measuring station (GIS) also passes through the station this, “the report said.
The company recorded a number of actions on the part of the occupiers, providing changes in the operation of communication equipment and technological modes, which could actually lead to loss of operational control over the CS equipment.
“This will lead to significant risks to the integrity of the gas delivery system, the stability of gas transportation regimes, and as a result, the impossibility of gas transportation through CS, especially under a contract in transit, “OGTSU explained.
The company called on the occupiers to avoid further harassment of its employees and interference in the work of the Constitutional Court.
“Otherwise, in the event that operational control is lost, OGTSU will be forced to cease operation of this facility in order to maintain the integrity and safe operation of the GTS.
Earlier, the Ministry of Energy said that Ukraine has not stopped moving gas from the aggressor country due to its obligations to European companies.
