The market for new cars in Russia for the first half of the year has been reduced by 26.3% to 530 375 cars. At the same time, sales of new luxury cars grew 19% – from January to June 320 such cars were sold in the country. This is reported by the Moscow Times with reference to calculations AutostatA.
The head of the premium segment was the brand of Rolls -Royce – 100 cars were sold, 56% more than the same period last year. The segment part is 31%. The second place was taken by Bentley with 90 sold cars (+4%). Next are Lamborghini (72 cars, -5%), Ferrari (43 cars, +115%), Aston Martin (11 cars, +83%) and Maserati (4 cars, -75%).
According to sellers, the average price of a car of this segment is from 30 to 45 million rubles. The main demand is in the Moscow region.

In May, 234 expensive cars sold in May – 30% more than last year, but 7.5% less compared to April. The most popular brand in the second market remained Bentley – it costs 32.5% of all sales (76 cars).
Analysts note that despite the active output of Chinese brands in the Russian market, they have not yet entered the luxury segment and in the near future they do not expect it. Chinese manufacturers position their cars as premiums, but not like luxury.
Thus, in January-April, Chinese brands led sales in the premium segment of the Russian Federation car market segment, though it reduced by 45.6% in the annual terms. Experts have noticed that the doubt about Chinese premium cars has been significantly reduced, and for many they have become a worthy alternative.
