New yield apples were launched in Ukraine this week, Ukrainian gardeners began to harvest apples of the first types in fact at the same time as previous season.
According to major players in the market, the beginning of the supplies of local apples immediately negatively affect the sale of imported fruits, but Ukrainian businessmen are not in a hurry to reduce prices for their products. Sellers argue with their decision by the fact that the main offer in the Ukrainian apple market today, as usual, is to be imported products. At the same time, the demand for them is held at a low level, as customers often prefer arrows and berries.
It is noted that Ukrain’s Apple producers are planning to enter the market wider from next week. Gardeners have promised that apple prices will decrease as the supply of local apples on the market increase, and that imported apples can also be cheaper.
Remember that this year in January, Ukrainian farms offer apples for sale at a UAH price 25-32/kg. This is the highest indicator in the last eight years.
