Since the beginning of the year, the Ukrainian side has received nearly $ 17.6 billion due to frozen Russian property.
Ukraine received nearly $ 1.7 billion (2.3 billion canada dollars) from Canada as part of the initiative of extraordinary income (ERA). This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on Telegram on Monday, June 30.
“Together with the partners, we forced Russia to pay for the crimes and destruction that have been committed. From the beginning of the year, considering the last tranche, about $ 17.6 billion received from frozen ownership of the Russian Federation,” he wrote.
The prime minister recalled that Ukraine insisted on the complete confiscation of frozen funds of the Russian Federation.
“They have to pay compensation to victims of aggression and restore our state. It is also an act of justice to prevent future wars in the future,” he added.
Remember, in general, the G7’s extraordinary income initiative for Ukraine (ERA) provides for the allocation of $ 50 billion, where the European Union will provide $ 20 billion.
Earlier, Ukraine received five payments from the EU covering 7 billion euros as part of the ERA initiative.
