The regulator has accused the company of misleading consumers about autonomous management and other services.
The French Consumer Protection Agency has ordered Tesla France to stop non -commercial skills that are harmful to consumers and violating current law. According to France24, the investigation was conducted in 2023-2024 following several complaints sent through the national appeal platform.
During the audit, it was learned that Tesla was cheating on customers about the capabilities of fully autonomic driving its cars, the conditions for exchange of an old car for a new one, nor could not believe about having some selection of cars. In addition, the company has been accused of delays in returning funds for deleted orders, the lack of clear information about the car delivery area and the registration of incomplete contract contracts.
Authorities forced Tesla to correct violations within four months. In the case of failure to fulfill the adoption, the company will pay a fine of € 50 thousand for each day of inconsistency, including for the wrong advertising of automatic driving operations.
The company has not yet issued an official feedback.
Remember that it was previously reported that the market of electric cars was growing Europe, and Tesla sales were falling. Chinese Byd also first exceeds Tesla in the sales of electric vehicles in Europe.
