Thousands of Ukrainians have applied for eWork grants

Five thousand people have already applied for grants, the first 500 of them will be approved in the near future.

Ukrainians have submitted more than 5,000 applications for eJob grants, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday, July 26.

“This month, we launched the eWork program, which provides for the issuance of non-refundable grants for the creation of a new business. More than 5,000 applications have been received in this short period. Now they are being processed this, and in the near future, the first almost 500 grants will be approved,” – said the prime minister.

He also said that about 9 thousand people have already been employed under the program for hiring immigrants.

The government continues to pay under other social programs, in particular, pensions in July were 100% funded, added the prime minister.

It should be noted that 16 billion hryvnias were allocated for the eWork project. It is expected to enable anyone with the desire, ability and plan to start their own business, expand their small or medium business, and start a new career.
