Tetra Pak has reached an agreement to transfer its Russian business to local management.

The Swedish-Swiss corporation Tetra Pak, which is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of packaging materials for food products, is completely withdrawing its business from Russia. This was reported by the company’s press service.

“Tetra Pak announced today the cessation of its remaining activities in Russia. This is due to the cumulative effect of export restrictions, which lead to supply chain instability, leaving the company with no choice but leave the country,” the statement said.

It was noted that the company reached an agreement on the transfer of its own business in the Russian Federation to local management. After the transfer of ownership, the new company will operate as an independent legal entity under a different name.

It will be remembered that Philip Morris International Inc. before the end of this year intends to withdraw from the Russian market.

It was also reported that Prime Minister Denys Shmygal called on Korean businesses that have left the Russian market to move their production to Ukraine.
