Now they are preparing to ship last year’s $10 billion worth of grain, and they plan to export double that total.

“After the agreements were signed, we have remaining grain worth a total of $10 billion. It really is. It is a big amount,” he said.
But in general, this year it is necessary to export grain worth $20 billion, the minister added.
Solsky warned that the only reason for a possible food shortage inside Ukraine could be a lack of money for the next sowing campaign.
“Therefore, the signed agreement should solve these problems,” believes the head of the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs.
According to the minister, the state does not interfere in the activities of private companies that are preparing to export grain, but it can begin to adjust the parameters of the market.
“The role of the state in this process and the possibility to buy it back and resell the grain is already determined. traders will receive extra income, then in the near future something else will be announced,” said Solsky.
According to him, 99% of grain exported from Ukraine is owned by private shippers.
The Infrastructure Ministry said grain exports will resume this week from the port of Chornomorsk, and all three ports will be fully operational within two weeks.
