In Ukraine, the World Bank’s mission began to work to end an agreement for $ 1 billion.
The Ministry of Finance, along with the World Bank, is working on a new agreement with a loan to support the Reform – Development Policy Operation (DPO) – at least $ 1 billion. This was reported by the department’s press service on Tuesday, June 3.
Within Sunday, from June 2 to 6, the Bank Bank expert team holds meetings with government representatives to agree with the conditions of the program. The loan provides for the direct acceptance of state budget funds after the fulfillment of a number of Ukraine conditions.
“We continue to work together with a new Operation Operation Operation (DPO), thanks to which we not only attract the necessary resources to support the state budget, but also stimulate the restoration and development of the economy,” said Olga Zykova Deputy Minister of Finance.
Last year, in the DPO framework, Ukraine received nearly $ 3.5 billion under three agreements, which helped occupy priority costs and realize tax, customs, banking and energy reforms.
This year, agreements also include new steps in social policy. In particular, from July 1, the Pilot Program begins Basic Social Assistance. It combines certain types of support with a payment – the main size will be 4,500 hryvnias.
“The basic assistance will be provided to the citizens of Ukraine who meet the criteria for its acceptance. Receipts are able to unite to decide on a new system,” Roman Ermolichev Deputy Minister of Finance said.
In addition, the Ministry of Finance has joined the bill to support families and stimulate birth rate, the launch of which is scheduled for 2026.
The final conditions should go up until the end of June. Ukraine must fulfill them until October, and the World Bank will make the final decision to provide funds in November.
Remember that Ukraine has come to an IMF agreement for the next EFF program revision. It opens the way to the new tranche of $ 500 million.
