Large technological companies, in particular meta, Spotify, group match and others, have announced the creation of a lobbying coalition in the United States to deal with Apple and Google’s influence on the mobile market, Bloomberg reports.
The initiative, called the coalition for a competitive mobile experience, appeared against the background of growing pressure by lawmakers, if necessary, verifying the age of mobile users, in particular minor.
The coalition aims to deal with the dominance of iOS and Android platforms, which, according to its participants, has been discriminated against in third -party applications, services and hardware. The organization plans to lobby for changes in the United States and Federal Government of the United States, as well as to promote the Ministry of Justice in open antimonopoly activities against Apple and Google.
Coalition participants, such as Garmin, are dedicated to the fact that their products should work without restrictions on Apple and Google platforms. At the same time, representatives of applications such as Meta and Snap Inc.
