The selection period ended on April 16 at a low level of reserves – 675 million cubic meters of active gas remained at PHG.
Ukraine has begun a new gas pumping period against the backdrop of the low -ground (PHG) storage facilities. This was confirmed by data on the Association Gas Infrastructure Europe’s website (GIE) on Monday, April 21.
Thus, the selection period began on November 1, 2024, when the storage facilities were 87.037 TVT-H (8.315 billion cubic meters) of active gas. And it ended on April 16 at a low level of reserves – 0.675 billion cubic meters (7.06 TVT · h) remained at PHG, which is about 2.2% of the maximum capacity of storing facilities.
However, these indicators are not considered, approximately 4.6 billion cubic meters of so -called gas buffer, which technically remains storage constantly and cannot be used without the risk of their work.
Over the past two days, operators have already pumped nearly 6.5 million cubic gas meters of storage facilities.
In the past, Nafttogaz announced the “difficult” gas situation because of Russia’s attack. The company has ensured that they are conducting gas imports in the volumes needed for system balancing and providing all consumers.
It was also reported that in February the GDP growth rate of Ukraine was strictly slowing down. One of these factors is indicated by missile shelling in gas -making facilities.
In addition, it has been reported how much Ukraine gas has purchased since the beginning of 2025.
