Money will go to buying valuable military equipment for Ukraine, including the Air Defense System.
Great Britain of Ukraine gave a second tranche of 752 million pounds ($ 991 million), which provides revenue from frozen Russian possessions. This was reported by the British government on Monday, April 14th.
“Financing will support Ukraine in purchasing valuable military equipment, including an urgent air -defense system,” the report said
It is indicated that this British tranche is the second of three planned payments covering 2.26 billion sterling. The first payment was made in early March and also cost 752 million pounds. The remaining funds will be paid in 2026.
“Strong Ukraine is important for the national security of Great Britain, and the second tranche of financing will help put them in the best possible position and contribute to our collective security,” said Rachel Reeves Finance Minister of UK.
Earlier it was learned that the UK would provide Ukraine loans of 2.26 billion pounds (about 2.93 billion dollars), due to income from frozen Russian ownership.
Remember, in general, the G7’s extraordinary income initiative for Ukraine (ERA) provides for the allocation of $ 50 billion, where the European Union will provide $ 20 billion.
Last week, Ukraine received the third tranche, worth 1 billion euros.
