Ukraine in the first quarter of 2025 increased exporting of dairy products by 21% – up to 31.14 thousand tons and increased imports by 12% – up to 15.37 thousand tons. This was reported by the Association of Milk Manufacturers (APM).
It was noted that in January-March Ukraine exported 31.14 thousand tons (+21%) of dairy products for 89.77 million dollars. (+62%).
According to preliminary data from DSSU, in March 2025 12.27 thousand tons of dairy products at 37.89 million dollars were exported. Compared to February, natural export volumes increased by 20%, and compared to March 2024 increased by 44%. Export revenue increased by 39% compared to February and 110% compared to March 2024.
In January-March 2025, Ukraine increased the natural volume of milk and condensed cream to 9.45 thousand tons (+60%), mixed oil up to 1.27 thousand tons (+39%), butter up to 3.16 thousand tons (+231%), cheeses up to 3.18 thousand tons (+24%) 888888 thousand tons (1.14 thousand tons (+16%) compared to last year. Compared to last year’s time, the volume of milk and cream exports not placed at 5.25 thousand tons (-27%) and milk serum at 4.77 thousand tons (-6%) is reduced.

In the first quarter of 2025, Ukraine imported 15.37 thousand tons (+12%) of dairy products for 75.24 million dollars. (+12%). Compared to January-March 2024, the natural volume of casein imports (+850%), milk and cream, not reserved (+122%), milk and cream, condensed (+68%). Butter import volume (-74%) and milk serum (-47%) decreased.
In March 2025, Ukraine imported 5.73 thousand tons of dairy products for 30.62 thousand dollars. Compared to February 2025, the natural imports of imports increased by 24%, and compared to March 2024 increased by 28%.
The foreign economic balance in March was positive and costs 7.27 million dollars.
Keep in mind that according to March results, consumer prices in Ukraine accelerated 1.5% from 0.8% in February. An annual inflation was up to 14.6% compared to 13.4% in February.
