Dry weather conditions have led to the hope of a moderate reduction of yield in Ukraine, according to the UN.
The harvest of wheat in Ukraine in 2025 is lower than the average of five years. It was announced the day before the UN (FAO) Food and Agricultural Organization.
“In Ukraine, the manufacture of wheat in 2025 was expected at a level below the average five -a indicator, due to the consequences of the ongoing war, and the dishonest weather conditions determine the expectations of a moderate harvest comparison compared to last year,” the message said.
At the same time, FAO hopes that global wheat manufacture in 2025 will be 795 million tons, which corresponds to last year’s level.
According to FAO, the grain world consumption of 2024-2025 years of marketing will be 2,868 million tons, 1.3 million tons over last month, and 0.9% higher than 2023-2024 mg. The revision was due to the increase of 2.7 million tons of global forecast for grain consumption of fodder with the higher expected consumption of all major farabes (corn, barley and sorghum).
It is noteworthy that in 2024 Ukraine collected 76 million tons of grains of grain and oil, which noticed smaller from record 2023 – 82 million tons.
