If I had reduced the tariffs a little bit, they would approve this agreement within 15 minutes, the American leader assured.

China’s reaction to the introduction of new American tariffs is the cause of the suspension of Tiktok application and its further functioning in America. US president Donald Trump said this, written by Bloomberg on Monday, April 7.

“We had a deal almost for Tiktok – not a deal, but quite closely, and then China changed the deal due to tariffs. If I reduced the tariffs, they would approve the deal in 15 minutes, showing the power of tariffs,” said the American leader.

Trump administration officials, including the vice president of Jay Di Vincent and National Security Advisor Mike Valts, are working on a transaction for the sale of a popular application for social networks belonging to the Bytedance Ltd.

We remind, Trump previously said he was talking to many interested parties on possible acquisitions. He later said that Microsoft Corp is interested in buying social networks.
