Ukrainians released more than 8.3 million loan agreements for a total of 51.69 billion UAH a year.

Ukrainians released more than 8.3 million in 2024 microcredit covering 51.69 billion UAH, which is 27% more than 2023. It was reported by the Opendatabot with a reference to National Bank of Ukraine’s National Bank statistics.

Debt on Microfinance Organizations (MFIS) at the beginning of 2025 reached UAH 15.77 billion – it was 1.7 times more than the beginning of last year.

Despite the fact that the number of executed agreements remained nearly at the level of 2023, loan quantities increased dramatically. The average microloan size increased by 26% – from 4926 UAH to 6217 UAH.

Usually, MFIS has released 693 thousand loans per month, but dynamics have changed over the year. Most microcred firsts are issued in the III quarter – about 729 thousand per month. By the end of the year, the number of new loans was reduced to 691 thousand, however, at the same time, the Ukrainians began to kill debts more actively.

The total debt to microloans has increased significantly throughout the year. If at the beginning of 2024 it costs UAH 9.3 billion, then in the III quarter it reaches UAH 18.47 billion. By the end of the year, the amount was reduced slightly – by 2.7 billion UAH, but it was not enough to pay for the total increase. At the beginning of 2025, the debt reached UAH 15.77 billion, 6.47 billion UAH over a year ago.

Remember that in the outbreak of war, the Ukrainians became more difficult to pay off loans. Despite the war, the banks turned to the courts so that the non -payable would be punished.
