Money is going to restore transportation infrastructure – roads and bridges – in 19 regions of Ukraine.
Ukraine will receive $ 432 million from the World Bank to restore transportation infrastructure. This was reported by the Ministry of Development of Gromad and Territory on Wednesday, April 2.
It is indicated that the corresponding agreement was signed by the Deputy Prime Minister for the restoration of Gromad and territorial development and territorial development Alexei Kuleb and Regional Director of World Bob of Eastern Europe Bob Cos. We are talking about the project to create a stable infrastructure on weak media in Ukraine (drive). Thanks to this, Ukraine will receive the first tranche for project implementation this month.
The main purpose of the drive is to restore the transportation infrastructure. It involves overhaul of roads and bridges in 19 regions of Ukraine, the reform of national roads, the installation of modular bridges, as well as providing technical assistance and project management.
The project also involves additional opportunities for maintaining roads in front -line regions. The military is moving every day, the evacuation routes for the injured are laid out.
“During the war, logistics saves life, and the functional road infrastructure is critical for the country’s stability. That’s why we do our best to attract additional resources,” Alexei Kuleba said.
The project will have major directions:

$ 270.48 million – support for the National Road Network. Adjusting roads and bridges, their maintenance, capital work, support for the design and management of construction will be carried out.

$ 90 million – Going to reform on roads and transportation industries.

$ 39 million – the installation of emergency modular road bridges and the reasonable reasonable care of major road network links.

$ 10 million – technical assistance and project management.
Remember, until December 31, 2024, the total cost of recovery in Ukraine was estimated to be $ 524 billion in the next decade. Such data was revealed in a rapid analysis of damage and need for restoration (RDNA4), published by the World Bank.
The President’s office also believes that since 2014, losses from Russian aggression may be 1 trillion dollar. This value includes only the losses of the state of Ukrainian. The damage caused by the business and the citizens will pay separately.
