After the threats, the mask disconnect Starlink for Ukraine, Rome changed its mind to end a major contract for its own needs.
The Italian government has decided to suspend Spacex negotiations on the provision of Starlink satellite communications for the country’s defense and diplomatic needs. Italy Minister of Defense Guido Crosetto said this in an interview with the La Repubblica newspaper, published on Saturday, March 22.
“Everything stopped,” he said, clarifying what he meant “technical discussions” around a possible transaction with the use of the Starlink satellite system with Italy.
According to Crozetto, the discussion of the transaction was restrained by many scandals around the owned company Mask of Ilona.
According to Politico, the news of the possible transaction of the Italian government along with Starlink was first announced in January. The Prime Minister of Georgia Melony, who himself belonged to the right political spectrum, tried to maintain good relations with Trump’s administration and directly in magic.
Recently, however, Italian opposition has actively criticized the government’s intent to sign a major Spacex deal. Opposition politicians call to cancel further negotiations, directing the threats of the magician to kill Starlink for Ukraine, which requires it to protect against Russia’s invasion.
Remember that in early March, Musk said he was angry with a long -term massacre, “that Ukraine inevitably disappears.” According to him, Starlink is a major factor for the Ukrainian army and without it “the front line may collapse.” Poland Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorsky responded to this statement, noting that Poland was paying for access to Ukrainian units. “If Spacex became an unreliable supplier, we would be forced to find other suppliers,” Sikorsky emphasized. In response, Musk wrote: “Hush, little man. You pay a smaller part of the cost. And there’s no starlink replacement in the world!”
