Tiktok introduces restrictions for young people

The Tiktok Social Network introduces new tools that will help parents control their children’s activity in the application. This is stated in the release of Tiktok.

As part of the family pairing update, parents can limit Tiktok use time, check out subscriptions lists and block their children’s users, as well as receive notifications if their child complains of the video.

New functioning Time outside the network Parents are allowed to hinder access to Tiktok for some time -for example, while studying, family time, at night or on weekends. If necessary, a teenager may request too much time, but the decision remains with his parents.

Function Relax mode It provides that if a teenager up to 16 years of age enters Tiktok after 22:00, his tape will be hidden, and a message with relaxing music will appear on the screen, calling to postpone the phone and rest. If the user ignores the message, the application will remind him of the need to disconnect.

The social network will also return the STEM tape (section containing science and technology) for young people.

As you know, Tiktok continues to introduce new security measures for young people, as the platform faces pressure from lawmakers. The company has repeatedly criticized for potential damage that can cause social networks in children.

Remember that Albania has decided to hinder Tiktok for 12 months, accusing the platform of spreading violence and oppression to children.

Over the past six months, more than 3800 Tiktok accounts have been blocked in connection with the spread of Russian propaganda.
