Judicial claims against the Russian Gazprom of European customers have almost twice cash reserves in the company in accounts. Generally, claims for 18 billion euros were filed, the Moscow Times wrote on Monday, March 10.
In total, 13 upcoming claims came from Gazprom – the same amount was filed against himself. Of the nine claims, the arbitration court of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region have issued written orders for implementation.
The biggest lawsuit against Gazprom was filed by German concern Uniper, a former German company main client and the co-investment of the North Stream-2 project. Uniper, who bought 20 billion cubic gas meters from Russia per year, requires 14.31 billion euros in the form of compensation for losses from the end of delivery.
In June 2024, Stockholm arbitrated the German concern of the German altogether.
Also, 1.55 billion euros is required from the Gazprom of concern for Polish Europol Gaz, which ruled the Poland section of the Yamal-European pipeline.
A lawsuit for 305 million euros came from French Engie, 575 million euros- from the Austrian OMV, which continued to buy Russian gas until the end of 2024.
In the Czech Republic, the lawsuit of 58 million euros filed a CEZ energy group, Slovakia had a claim for 9 million and 4 million euros from Zse Energia and Vychodoslovenska Energetika, respectively.
More than 1 billion euros in total Swiss Energy DXT (385 million euro) businessmen and AXPO solutions (623 million euros) are desired from Gazprom.
