The United Arab Emirates became the largest recipient of Swedish weapons, followed by the United States and Brazil.

The export of Sweden’s military equipment reached a record record of 29 billion croats (2.9 billion dollars) amid a growing fear for global security due to the entire Russian invasion of Ukraine. Bloomberg reported this on Monday, March 10.

It was 63% more against last year, according to the Sweden Strategic Products inspector.

“We can clearly see how the deterioration of the security situation affects military equipment exporting,” said the ISP director Karl Jogan Vislander.

More than 70% of exports were received in 39 countries with Sweden partnerships in the field of defense and security. The United Arab Emirates became the largest recipient, followed by the United States and Brazil, according to the inspector.

As for Ukraine, the number of permits for state supply and sale of the Swedish defense industry has grown significantly. Saab AB, manufacturer of gripen warriors, early warning systems Globaleye and submarines, has become one of the major beneficiaries of growing demand for military equipment.

Bloomberg Intelligence analysts predict that the company’s income can grow a year -of 18% to 2027, and its shares have grown 55% this year amidst the general increase of European Defense stocks.

Remember that by the end of January, Sweden announced the transfer of the largest military assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of a full -scale invasion of Russia. It costs 13.5 billion Swedish crowns – about $ 1.3 billion.
