State State Service announces how prices changed in February

Prices for food and soft drinks rose 1.2%. Eggs and sunflower oils climb everything.

According to February results, consumer prices in Ukraine slowed 0.8% compared to 1.2% in January. But the annual inflation accelerated by 13.4%, the state state service said on Monday, March 10.

Thus, food prices and soft drinks in February rose 1.2%in February. Most – by 3.5% and 3.4% – sunflower eggs and oils rise in price.

Prices for pasta, fruits, oils, grain processing products, fish and fish products, soft drinks, milk and dairy products, vegetables, bread, meat and meat products rose 1.9 – 0.6%. At the same time, sugar fell 0.4%.

Prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products increased by 1.3%, which is associated with increasing tobacco products by 2.0%.

Clothes and shoes fell to 3.1%, in particular, clothing – of 3.4%, and shoes – by 2.7%.

Transportation prices increased by 0.6% mainly due to increased cost of combustible and lubricating oil and passenger transport on the road by 1.1%. At the same time, the train transportation trip was 0.9%.

Keep in mind that according to the results of 2024, the rate of inflation in Ukraine costs 12%. In the December consumer market, food prices and soft drinks increased by 1.8%.

It was also reported that by the end of January the National Bank exacerbated the inflation forecast for 2025 from 6.9 to 8.4%.

And in early March, the NBU in the third time increased the rate of discount – up to 15.5% per year, which responded to further inflation.
