The quasi -government of the Moldova region – Russia -controlled transnistria has increased tariffs for gas, heat and electricity, as well as water supply for population from March 1, 2025 one and a half to twice. This is stated in the message on the “Government” site.
Gas tariffs are double now, for heat – 1.8 times, for electricity – one and a half times.
“Tariff adjustment is due to a change in the mechanism for calculating economical reasonable prices for natural gas,” the report said.
The cost of the gas component affects the cost of transnistria in the purchase and transportation of blue fuel.
“In conditions of the republic’s economic situation, they are forced to buy gas due to borrowed funds,” the administration said.
Previously, the cost of the gas component was 1 ruble per thousand cubic meters for a number of consumers.
“Now the price is brought to line with current market conditions and will be 1,156.65 rubles per thousand cubic meters,” the report said.
