The dollar fell on the exchanges at the beginning of the week

The rate of hryvnia is partially strengthened in relation to the dollar at the beginning of the new working week. This is proven by monitoring the data on Monday, February 24th.

Thus, the average exchange rate of dollar in Ukraine was reduced by 5 kopecks, up to 41.80 hryvnias, the euro increased to 5 kopecks – up to 44.00 hryvnias.

Now, in the exchange offices, they buy a dollar on average 41.30 hryvnias, and the Euro – 43.30 hryvnias each.

In the Interbank, the American Currency is at 41.61-41.64 UAH/Dollar – so far has not changed compared to the closure on Friday.

The National Bank then clearly reduced the dollar to hryvnia after growing within three consecutive days – 41.5919 hryvnias (-0,1397 UAH). The official Euro exchange rate is 43.5093 UAH (-0.0418 UAH).

It was also learned that on a week on February 17 – 21, the NBU spent a volume of money record in the interbank since the beginning of the year – $ 1.191 billion. It was about 78% more than a week before the last – $ 670.10 million.

Generally, since the beginning of 2024, the regulator has sold over $ 5.7 billion, and purchased – only $ 6.5 million.

Remember that last week the IMF mission started working in Ukraine. In the case of successful passage of the seventh view of the EFF program, the state budget will go to 917.5 million dollars.

It was also reported that demand for bonds of the Ministry of Finance’s internal loan fell to a minimum. At the main auctions on February 18, only 245.6 million hryvnias were involved.
