Belarus sells EU oil from rapeseed, stolen in conquered Kherson region – the media

This has been proven by investigating the Radio Freedom Project called the scheme, which is prepared in collaboration with Lithuanian, Latvian and Belarusian partners.

The material states that one of these countries of the European Union is Lithuania. Journalists noted that since the day of 2024, the year has been a ban on importing Belarusian food, specifically rapeseed oil.

The federal grain state information system records that in 2023, nearly 5 thousand tons of rapeseed seeds were taken from the captured part of Kherson to Belarus. It is given to five companies, including Agro -product -one of the largest manufacturers of rapeseed oil exported to the EU.

During the six months of 2024, European Union countries bought more than 90 thousand tons of rapeseed oil from Belarus worth more than 67 million euros. The main consumer is Lithuania and Latvia. In addition, these countries import nearly 50 thousand tons of rapeseed oil exclusively from agricultural products throughout 2024.

Logistic companies in Latvia and Lithuania in a conversation with journalists have confirmed cooperation with the Belarus agricultural product, despite the fact that in Lithuania since June 2024 there is a ban on importing rapeseed oil.

According to media reports, the agricultural product is connected to Belarus authorities. However, the company is not on the lists of EU and Ukraine penalties and has the right to freely provide products in Europe.

The Commissioner of the President of the Ukraine for Sanctions Policy Vladislav Vlasuk, in which journalists became a comment, identified the findings of the investigation.

“We can talk about the actions of a foreign legal creature to create real or potential threats to the national interest and integrity of Ukrainian territory, which could be the basis for imposing penalties in Ukrainian,” he.

Remember that the media reported that the deputy assistant to the US Secretary of State Christopher Smith and two other diplomats visited Belarus, where they met the self -Proclaimed head of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, as well as the head of KGB, of Belarus. After negotiations with Lukashenko, border diplomats along with Lithuania took prisoners – an American and two Belarus political prisoners.
