The sales of the world of chips reach a note

The sale of the world of chips in 2024 increased by 19.1% and reached a record of $ 627.6 billion.

Thus, the volume of supplies in the fourth quarter cost $ 170.9 billion, which 17.1% exceeded the indicator for the same period of 2023. In the third quarter, they rose 3%.

In December, the sale of chips increased by 17.1% in relation to the same month a year earlier – up to $ 56.97 billion.

“The global semiconductors’ market” showed the highest sales volume in history in 2024, it first exceeded $ 600 billion, and a two -grade market growth was predicted for 2025, “said President and Chief Executive Director of SIA John Newf, which is given in the message.

In 2024, sales of chips in North and South America rose 44.8%, at China-by 18.3%, in Asia-Pacific and other regions-by 12.5%. However, they dropped to Europe by 8.1% and in Japan – by 0.4%.

In December, sales of chips in North and South America removed 56.35% in the annual terms. In Japan, they increased by 4.1%, in the PRC – by 2.6%, in the Asian region -pacific – of 7.6%. In Europe alone, a fall was recorded – of 8.6%.

SIA includes about 99% of American manufacturers of the semiconductor industry and about 66% of chips from other countries.

Remember that Ukraine plans to create the manufacture of chips. For this, funding for 1 billion dollars is required. This is stated in the digital development strategy for innovative activities until 2030, approved by the Ministers’ Cabinet.
