Saudi Arabia and other OPEC+ ministers meet after Trump’s call to reduce oil prices.

The Saudi Arabia’s energy minister and some of his OPEC teammates conducted negotiations following the call of US President Donald Trump to reduce oil prices. Reuters reported this reference to their own resources on Tuesday, January 28th.

Saudi Arabia’s energy minister, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, conducted negotiations with Iraqi Prime Minister Khayan Abdel-Gani and Prime Minister of Libyan Calipho Abdulsadek in Riyadh. The Saudi minister also met with the UAE Sukitan Energy Al-Mazrui Minister.

The discussion took place on the eve of the OPEC Opece Opecs+meeting. At the same time, OPEC+ delegates note that the next meeting on February 3, most likely, will not lead to changes in plans to increase production from April.

This year, oil prices have increased. On January 15, Brent Oil reached nearly $ 83 – the highest degree since August, which caused a reminder of the influence of US sanctions against Russia on the oil supply. Since then, the prices have dropped and on January 28, it has been exchanged below $ 78.

Remember, US president Donald Trump called Saudi Arabia and OPEC to reduce oil prices. In his opinion, it will help to quickly end the Russian war against Ukraine.

Ukraine recommends set the maximum price for Russian oil for $ 30 per barrel.
