The National Bank again increased the exchange rate of the American currency, although in the interbank market it fell to 42.14-42.17 UAH/dollar.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) reduced the exchange rate of the hryvnia against the dollar and the euro for the second day in a row. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Tuesday, January 21.
Thus, the official dollar exchange rate for tomorrow is set at UAH 42.1661 (+0.0110 UAH). In turn, the euro grew significantly and on Wednesday was worth 43.6419 hryvnia (+0.1421 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency fell in price by 3 kopecks – at 42.14-42.17 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar exchange rate has been stable for two days in a row – 42.65 Hryvnia.
We remind you that the demand for foreign currency in the interbank market remains high. NBU sold more than $1 billion for the second week in a row.
At the same time, it was reported that by the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion. Overall, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion, or 8.1%.
