For the second day in a row, the hryvnia exchange rate remained stable against the dollar in the cash market, but fell against the euro. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Tuesday, January 21.
So, this morning, the average selling rate of the dollar did not change – 42.65 Hryvnia, the euro rate increased by 10 kopecks to 44.30 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 42.15 Hryvnia, and euros for 43.60 Hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 42.17-42.20 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – so far unchanged compared to the previous day’s close.
On Monday, the National Bank increased the dollar to Hryvnia exchange rate after falling for three days in a row – 42.1551 Hryvnia (+0.0294 UAH). The official euro exchange rate is 43.4998 UAH (+0.1314 UAH).
We remind you that the demand for foreign currency in the interbank market remains high. NBU sold more than $1 billion for the second week in a row.
At the same time, it was reported that by the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion. Overall, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion, or 8.1%.
