The average selling rate of the dollar increased by 5 kopecks to 43.05 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate fell to 44.25 Hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate fell slightly against the dollar at exchange offices, but rose against the euro. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Tuesday, January 14.
So, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by 5 kopecks – to 43.05 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate fell by 15 kopecks – to 44.25 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy a dollar for an average of 42.50 Hryvnia, and a euro for 43.50 Hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 42.33-42.39 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank reduced the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia on Tuesday after six days of record growth – 42.2692 UAH (-0.0149 UAH). The official euro exchange rate is 43.1273 UAH (-0.4465 UAH).
Let’s remember that at the beginning of 2025, the demand for foreign currency in the interbank market will increase again. During the week of January 6-10, the NBU sold $1.039 billion. This is 40% more than last week.
It was also reported that at the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion. In total, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion, or 8.1%.
