The regulator increased the dollar exchange rate, although in the interbank market the American currency fell by 8 kopecks to 42.27-42.30 UAH/dollar.
The National Bank of Ukraine raised the dollar-hryvnia exchange rate to a historic high for the sixth time. But the growth rate of the American currency has slowed. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Friday, January 10.
So, the official exchange rate for Monday is set at 42.2841 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.0016 UAH). The euro also slightly increased in price and will cost 43.5738 UAH (+0.0144 UAH).
Meanwhile, on the interbank market, the American currency lost 8 kopecks in price – 42.27-42.30 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar jumped by 20 kopecks to UAH 43.05.
Let us remind you that in the past week the National Bank has significantly reduced support for the Hryvnia. The lowest amount of currency was sold in the interbank market for the month.
It was also reported that at the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion. Overall, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion, or 8.1%.
