In the interbank market, the American currency added another 3 kopecks to the price at 42.35-42.38 UAH/dollar (buying and selling).
The National Bank of Ukraine for the fifth time in a row raised the dollar-hryvnia exchange rate to a historical maximum. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Thursday, January 9.
Thus, the official exchange rate for tomorrow is set at 42.2825 UAH per 1 dollar (+0.0464 UAH). The euro also rose in price and was worth UAH 43.5594 on Friday (+0.1322 UAH).
In the interbank market, the American currency added another 3 kopecks to the price at 42.35-42.38 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
In the cash market, the dollar rose by 10 kopecks to 42.85 hryvnia.
Let us remind you that in the past week the National Bank has significantly reduced support for the Hryvnia. The lowest amount of money is sold in the interbank market every month.
It was also reported that at the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion. Overall, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion or 8.1%.
