The average dollar selling rate increased to 42.85 Hryvnia, and the euro exchange rate decreased to 44.40 Hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate continues to decline against the dollar in the cash market. The American currency is approaching the 43 hryvnia mark, reports RBC-Ukraine, citing monitoring data on Thursday, January 9.
The average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by another 10 kopecks to 42.85 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate decreased by 10 kopecks to 44.40 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 42.35 hryvnia, and euros for 43.70 hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 42.31-42.36 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – an increase of 1 kopeck compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank raised the dollar to Hryvnia exchange rate to a historic high for the fourth time in a row – UAH 42.2361 (+0.0064 UAH). The official euro exchange rate is UAH 43.4272 (-0.4495 UAH).
Let us remind you that in the past week the National Bank has significantly reduced support for the Hryvnia. The lowest amount of money is sold in the interbank market every month.
It was also reported that at the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion. Overall, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion, or 8.1%.
