The average dollar selling rate increased to 42.75 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate was at 44.50 Hryvnia.
The hryvnia exchange rate fell again against the dollar in the cash market. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with monitoring data on Wednesday, January 8.
So, the average selling rate of the dollar in Ukraine increased by another 5 kopecks – to 42.75 Hryvnia, the euro exchange rate is still stable and unchanged – 44.50 Hryvnia.
Today, exchange offices buy dollars for an average of 42.25 Hryvnia, euro for 43.80 Hryvnia.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 42.24-42.30 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – a decrease of 3 kopecks compared to the previous day’s close.
The day before, the National Bank again raised the dollar to hryvnia exchange rate on Wednesday to a historical maximum of UAH 42.2297 (+0.0338 UAH). The official exchange rate of the euro today is UAH 43.8767 (-0.0324 UAH).
We remind you that at the end of December, Ukraine’s international reserves reached a new record – $43.788 billion. Overall, in 2024, reserves increased by $3.273 billion, or 8.1%.
It was also reported that over the past week the National Bank has drastically reduced support for the Hryvnia. The lowest amount of currency was sold in the interbank market for the month.
