The National Commission adopted a resolution on new gas transportation tariffs for GTS Operator LLC of Ukraine for 2025-2029. This is due to the stoppage of Russian gas transit.
According to the decision of the National Commission, the tariff for the transportation of natural gas in Ukraine will increase to 501.97 UAH per 1 thousand cubic meters per day (excluding VAT) from January 1, 2025. Ukrinform reported this on Monday, December 30.
Thus, according to the appendix to the NEURC Resolution, the tariff for an entry point with a physical location from the adjacent gas production enterprise will be 464.37 UAH per 1 thousand cubic meters per day (excluding VAT), for an exit point with a physical location to direct buyers – 501.97 UAH for 1 thousand cubic meters.
The General Director of Ukrainian GTS Operator Dmitry Lippa noted that by 2024 the company will receive 85% of its revenue from gas transportation originating in the Russian Federation.
“That is, 15% remains for us from domestic customers For full compensation, the tariff increase (proposed by the regulator) is not enough, but we agree, we understand that the Ukrainian economy needs of balanced decisions,” Lippa said.
He assured that the GTS Operator, for its part, has taken all measures to reduce costs: compressor stations are closed and mothballed, the number of personnel and costs are optimized.
As of December 2024, the tariff for gas transportation in Ukraine is 124.16 UAH per 1 thousand cubic meters.
Earlier, Denis Shmygal said that in Ukraine tariffs for gas, heat supply and electricity will not increase until the end of the heating season.
Let’s remember that the National Commission, which carries out state regulation in the field of energy and utilities, approved an increase in the tariff for electricity transmission for 2025 by 25.8%.
