The official dollar exchange rate fell for the third day in a row

In the interbank market, the American currency is stable and its exchange rate has not changed – 41.83-41.87 UAH/dollar (purchase and sale).

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) strengthened the hryvnia exchange rate against the dollar for the third day in a row after a historic high. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Thursday, December 26.

So, the official exchange rate for tomorrow is set at UAH 41.8447. for 1 dollar (-0.0176 UAH). The official euro exchange rate will be UAH 43.5122 (-0.0037 UAH).

In the interbank market, the American currency is stable and its rate is unchanged – 41.83-41.87 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.

In exchange offices, the dollar exchange rate decreased by 5 kopecks to UAH 42.20.

We remind you that last week the demand for foreign currency in the interbank market rose to its highest level since May 2022. The NBU sold a record 1.417 billion dollars on December 16-20.

As you know, on December 12, the National Bank unexpectedly increased the discount rate. The regulator made this decision in response to inflation rising to 11.2% in November.
