“We cannot export our grain through blocked ports, so we are forced to export it through European ports. Currently, farmers sell grain in Constanta (Romania). at a price of $ 240 per ton.With the price increase, the logistics at The port of Constanta is already $ 180.So,, the agrarian has to sell barley from the elevator at a price of $ 50-60! At the same time, the cost of planting barley is more than $ 160. That is, the agrarian receives only 30 % of his costs. He warned that expensive logistics would bankrupt most agricultural producers.
“All the achievements in the industry will be lost over the years. I remember how it was in the 90s, when 30% of the land was uncultivated. And now we are heading towards the same situation. He also recalled another logistical problem – Ukrzaliznytsia reduced the distance traveled by wagons in a day: if the previous wagons with grain exceeded 200 km per day, and the journey from central Ukraine to the west The crossing took three days, now the wagon travels 50 kilometers per day. days, and it was 12 days of travel. At the same time, UZ doubled the fee for the use of wagons.
“In this way, we get an increase in the cost of transporting grain from $ 15 to $ 40 per tonne. Therefore, I want to say: with all due respect, UZ has every opportunity to attract financial resources to other areas. And if we beat our agricultural producer today, we will receive a major blow to society and we will lose more than 50% of all foreign exchange revenues, ”Gorbachev concluded.
