The regulator raised the dollar exchange rate again, although in the interbank market the American currency fell to 41.93-41.96 UAH/USD.
The National Bank of Ukraine raised the dollar exchange rate to a record high against the hryvnia for the fourth time. This was confirmed by data on the regulator’s website on Thursday, December 19.
So, the official exchange rate for tomorrow is set at UAH 41.9292. for 1 dollar (+0.0244 UAH). In this regard, the exchange rate of the euro decreased slightly. On Friday, the European currency was worth UAH 43.577 (-0.3811 UAH).
In the interbank market, the dollar fell by 2 kopecks to 41.93-41.96 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) compared to the previous day’s close.
At the same time, in exchange offices the dollar increased in value by 10 kopecks – up to 42.15 UAH.
We remind you that since the beginning of the year, the dollar exchange rate has increased by almost 4 hryvnias (10.3%) from 37.98 UAH/dollar on December 31, 2023.
It was also reported that over the past week the NBU sold more than $1 billion in the interbank market – the highest volume in the past six months. Since the beginning of the year, the regulator has sold more than $31 billion.
