The Greece-Bulgaria interconnector will connect the network passing through Anatolia and the Adriatic, and will also connect to the BRUA pipeline.
Ukraine can now rely on natural gas supplies from Romania. Fuel, if necessary, will be pumped from the Balkans. Romanian Prime Minister Nicolae Chuca said this during the launch of the Greece-Bulgaria interconnector, Digi24’s website reported the other day.
“Importantly, this interconnector will connect to the network running in Anatolia and the Adriatic, as well as connect to the BRUA pipeline, thus providing gas supplies to Bulgaria and Romania,” Chuquet said at a press conference with the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
“And, of course, we can provide gas supplies to our partners in the east – Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova and other countries according to the scheme of distribution of this gas network,” added the Romanian prime minister.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine needs $ 8 billion to buy gas to bring reserves in storage facilities to 19 billion cubic meters at the beginning of the heating season.
The United States for the first time surpassed the Russian Federation in gas exports to Europe
