It is indicated that about 9,000 employees of Metinvest have been mobilized in the Armed Forces of Ukraine – this is one of the largest numbers among Ukrainian companies.
“Some of the veterans have already returned from the front and started working in the company. To support the defenders on the path of adaptation to civilian life, Metinvest introduces a comprehensive ecosystem for the reintegration of veterans: they are offered physical and psychological rehabilitation at the expense of the company, and the teams are trained to interact with demobilized colleagues,” said the message.
According to the press service, another priority of Metinvest during the war is the welfare of employees, their family members and residents of the cities where they operate.
“As part of the humanitarian initiative Save Lives, established at the beginning of a massive offensive, 516 thousand civilians have received assistance Thanks to donors and partners, approximately 4,200 tons of food, personal hygiene products and basic needs were delivered to Ukraine. and hospitals were given medicines and equipment for 9. 5 million UAH,” the company said.
It was also noted that the main priority of Metinvest is the assistance to the Ukrainian Defense Forces: more than UAH 4.4 billion has been allocated for this.

During the war, Metinvest established systematic supplies of machinery and equipment to the front.
“Ukrainian soldiers have already received 5,553 reconnaissance drones, 2,003 thermal imagers, 551 vehicles, including ambulances, and 1.5 million liters of fuel to refuel them. The company has provided 31,500 first aid kits and tourniquets to army, and also supports the development of tactical medicine in Ukraine in cooperation with the PULSE charitable foundation,” the company said.
Metinvest called special mobile shelters – steel “shelters” installed underground – one of the most important developments: 651 shelters have already been sent to the front line. Command posts were created on the basis of “safe areas”, and in the fall of this year the first underground hospital in Ukraine was built. It is equipped with modern medical equipment and can accommodate more than 100 patients per day. The cost of the project is more than 20 million UAH.
The company also produced and delivered to the Defense Forces 246 screens to protect armored vehicles from FPV drones, 61 lancet catchers, 63 shields for front-line vehicles, and 23 mine trawls. Metinvest steel is used to make plates for body armor, anti-tank hedgehogs, mini-bastions and mobile buggies serving the army.
Earlier, Metinvest named its wartime work priorities. The company said that the established priorities and goals of such conservative industries as the mining and metallurgical complex became irrelevant on February 24, 2022.
